Saturday. What a week I had
movidito (and not over!) . I would have liked to write this review before, but I have not had time. Anyway, here goes:
As many know,
The Temple of a Thousand Doors attended on the morning of Tuesday 22, at the press conference prepared by SM with the winners of the Awards Wide Angle and Steam Boat 2011 ( Begoña
Oro and Daniel Nesquens
) and where I could talk to a lot of people the little world. For the first time, awards will not be missed gift of themselves, but in December. So far in March, and had prepared the books published and we could read them without waiting for many months. Moreover, let us prove iPad applications they created of the two winning novels (grapefruit and lemon
and
The downstairs neighbor.)
Later, I met some good friends and I used to eat for an interview to be published in the next issue of the magazine. After talking and talking and talking about literature, we went to change for the evening (well, not because I was wearing suit and tie and did not think and go back to my house how far it is, haha ...).
A 18.30
us stand in the doorway of the Real Casa de Correos and waited the rest of the team of writers who were invited to the event (Carlota Echevarría,
The Chronicle of Salem and Nerea
Setting ). After we joined the great
Jara Santamaría and fireproof Kirikou Witch, Ester. There we saw time until reaching
Laura Gallego (requeteguapísima going!) And Jordi Sierra i Fabra
, who could not tell evutar now working on Super POP writing reviews (and is that this man was the founder of such medium xD). After greetings and hugs from rigor, we in and there, after leaving their coats in the closet, led us to our seats.
And there we stayed. Making pictures on the chairs like every year and flashing around the guests discretion as we waited for the authorities (mainly SAR
(I love acronyms xD) Letizia ) make an appearance. When they entered, everyone stood up and I thought we should take a bow or something. But no, we just get up and sit royo fee-paying school.
The manager to the master of ceremonies was
Eduardo Aldán famous stand-up comedian who speaks at a rate of stroke without binding
(miedito) . Then he got the audience in his pocket and, as all
(except Minister of Education ) already knew who had won this year, we spent a nice, quiet.
Counselor Education Com. Madrid, Lucia Figaro. And I say to the Minister for when his turn came to give the speech was clear he was more lost than an octopus in a garage. We all intrigue loved his face when he said this "is not yet known who will have won, but we hope to talk to them later" ...
Later it was his turn to
education minister and then another
that I wanted to imitate Barney ...
Mother of the Gods that led him to give his speech! If not spent twenty minutes talking was not any. And it always seemed that it would end ... when it was still talking. And I always thought that this would be an excellent concluding sentence ... when it was still talking. And when you see it impossible ... Was talking!
Education Minister Ángel Gabilondo.
around us and not listen to anyone. Neither we, the hyperactive twenties or thirties or the cincuentañeros the ghosts or the Real Casa de Correos
(which some will) . When finished, everyone applauded enthusiastically, but not for what he believed ...
Aldán then went out again and mentioned the name of Laura Gallego
as winner of the plaque
have managed to sell 100,000 copies of its supernovela Wandering King Legend of (if you have not read, you're taking) . We all applaud with enthusiasm ... and welcome ... and welcome ... But Laura did not come out. And that was in the third row. And, watch Friends, because of the presence of HRH Leti to Z, the Royal House had ordered that the act does not last more than 1 hour and everything, EVERYTHING, was timed to
mm (all but the minister's speech, I think I) . So I spoke with Laura Gallego to not leave at that time and got his plate later in the evening. What do you see and what it takes to go on stage, pick up the plate and down, but anyway ... After that surprise with a bitter aftertaste, strongly applaud the great Jose Luis Cortes
that retiring this year after many giving the best speeches of the awards among a thousand other things.
Arlet Hinojosa (JSIF Award 2011) And, finally, presented the awards to the real stars of the night: first, the young winner of the Jordi Sierra i Fabra this year: Arlet
Hinojosa (which at fifteen gave a wonderful speech without stuttering even once), Begoña
Gold (pictures left us when he said that we should all get out and be what we wanted to be ... except Letizia, who could not ... gods, the silence that was made after that comment was a movie. He spent a second. Two. He added, "because you
princess made a sacrifice for the sake ." Buaaaaah ... Begoña
love (read grapefruit and lemon same as now) ) and Daniel Nesquens
(whose speech was quick and direct.)
Begoña
Gold (GA Award 2011) Daniel Nesquens (BdV Award 2011) And then came the turn of SAR
(ju ju) Princess Letizia, with his knowledge of journalism and public speaking classes to be received, we dazzled everybody. Very nice, yes sir.

And then ...
The cocktail! That's what we were waiting. They took the opportunity to greet and talk to all friends, authors, publishers, booksellers and people in the scene where we are. The food was delicious and although at first we put in a bad place, then we find the strategic point
(right where I was David Lozano : coincidence? I doubt it ...) . With him were talking about the adaptation of The Dark Door
and what it is immersed scriptwriting
(luck with that!) .
Templar with Laura Gallego.
Jordianas Templars with Lorena and Jara. Later were with the Jordianas, Arlet, Lorena Jara and
(AKA Jordan award winners from previous years) with
Laura Gallego, Santiago García Clairac, Jordi Sierra i Fabra (whom I mentioned much as I loved his novel History of a second) ,
Jorge Gomez Soto and Carmen Pacheco (former teammate at school of our most successful Twitterers: David Bisbal and author of dream in the heart of (available NOW)) . This was for me the funniest moment of the night, everyone talking in the huddle with delicious chocolate fountains * *. I want one for home
And that was it. After hugs, goodbyes, promises to meet again in the future, and they gave us two award-winning novels (Thanks, SM!), I turned to Moncloa and from there to house.
Like other years, an unforgettable event and very organized. In short, a great meeting of friends
.
Greetings! Javier
Photos stolen at gunpoint from SM, Nerea Setting and my mobile. The idea of animated gifs I have borrowed from the great chronicle Carmen Pacheco.
