Nacional.A-The National Organizing Committee of the XXIX National Convention of the Dominican Revolutionary Party deplores the way in which the candidate Miguel Vargas Maldonado has been channeling its claims against the results of voting that took place on March 6 in the Extraordinary Convention XXIX. said that the National Organizing Committee has stressed repeatedly that the Political Commission has no jurisdiction to deal with matters pertaining to this conventional process in light of the General Statutes of the Dominican Revolutionary Party, the powers of the Executive Committee and General Regulations.
That really shows that the decision of the Political Committee to try and even worse, to suspend the President of the National Organizing Committee, Dr. Emmanuel Esquea Guerrero, is totally illegal, invalid and therefore harmful to democratic Dominican Revolutionary Party.
This decision is even more valid considering that those who voted for it were only the fellow group members Miguel Vargas Maldonado.
The National Organizing Committee firmly rejected that decision, and ignores the appointment of another president, because only the National Executive Committee has the statutory power to appoint the members of this Committee.
